Sofia University and Stevens Institute of Technology offer a joint Master's program where students pursue a Stevens' Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS). By transferring the credit for equivalent courses, students can earn almost half the credits of their MSIS through the Sofia University program. The rest of the credits can be obtained via courses taught by Stevens faculty in Sofia.
The initial success of this program, that combines the strengths of both universities, is the result of a grant awarded by USAID, and the strong collaboration existing between the two institutes. The MSIS has been ranked 5th by the American press. Stevens is a major and prestigious American university situated on the banks of the Hudson River, opposite Manhattan, at Hoboken (New Jersey).
