IndiaCollaborative AgreementsCollaborative agreements have been signed by Stevens Institute of Technology with the following major universities in India. These agreements call for cooperation in research, the exchange of students and faculty, and collaboration on executive programs.
Major International ConferenceGLOGIFT '08, a major international conference took place on Stevens campus on June 14-15, 2008. This conference was co-hosted by IIT Delhi and Stevens Institute of Technology. It was attended by over 80 leading academics - about half of whom travelled from India for the conference. The third day of the GLOGIFT conference was devoted to a US-India Business Development Conference. This was opened by the Consul General for India, Ambassador Neelam Deo. Other speakers included Ambassador Frank G. Wisner, Vice Chairman, External Affairs of AIG, and Ron Somers, President, US-India Business Council. Four-plus-One Student Exchange Programs (proposed)This proposed arrangement with overseas partner universities allows students to complete their undergraduate degree program at the partner university in their home country and then complete a Master of Science or Master of Engineering Degree at Stevens Institute of Technology. To reduce the time and cost in the United States, students may take a number of their courses in their home country before coming to the United States. These courses may be taken online via WebCampus or at the partner university in their home country. |
