Today, more than ever, there is a pressing need for information systems that effectively support the strategic objectives of the organization. Consequently, the individuals creating and managing such systems have to be much more familiar with the business aspect of their organization than was necessary in the past. This program blends significant aspects of both business management and information systems knowledge, thereby preparing students to specify, develop, and manage information systems as a strategic organizational resource. The program is designed for business professionals seeking an understanding of information management.
The Master of Science in Information Systems requires 36 graduate credits in an approved plan of study. Credits can be obtained by performing research in the form of a masters thesis. All courses listed below are for 3 credits unless otherwise noted. Business Core
