IT outsourcing is a growing trend and the rise in popularity of US and international corporations entering into outsourcing agreements has been well documented. Corporations will need talented and informed information technologists who can determine the need for outsourcing, who have the ability to manage outsourcing relationships on an on-going basis, and who are knowledgeable in the best practices for IT outsourcing. Since IT outsourcing is a trend worldwide and off-shore outsourcing is occurring in many countries, this program will have value in many global operations and will be a key area in global studies. The IT Outsourcing graduate certificate will also be of great interest to consulting firms and service providers. We believe the IT Outsourcing certificate delivers a competitive edge to students. |
| "Relationship Management and IT Outsourcing (MIS 652) is the one course that I put immediately into action. Professor Saltzman gave us the tools to unblock our futures by helping each of us focus on what we want to achieve, and giving us the tools to get out of our own way. Good relationships in the workplace help pave the way to success. They do not happen by chance. This course helped us identify our key relationships and develop action plans to achieve our goals." |
