Admission CriteriaThe Howe School's MBA in TM program is open to qualified individuals who show high promise of success in academic study. Our students come from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds. To be considered for admission, applicants should have:
* Applicants intending to pursue the Financial Engineering major must have a GMAT score greater than 550. For all other majors, the minimum score for admission is 500.
** Applicants with a lower GPA may be considered, provided they have suitable work-related experience and strong Letters of Recommendation from senior management. Likewise, applicants who lack the required two-year minimum work experience may still be considered provided they have strong academic credentials.
We only consider your highest overall GMAT score, so the GMAT can be re-taken if you need to improve your performance. Students who have already taken the GRE exam may submit their GRE score instead of the GMAT. In this case applicants are required to have both Math and Verbal GRE scores above the 40th percentile. International StudentsIf you are an international student whose first language is not English, you are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The minimum TOEFL score for admission to the MBA-TM program is 550 (paper exam), 213 (computer-based test (no longer offered). or 79-80 (Internet-based test). Prerequisites for the MBA-TM ProgramApplicants should have completed an undergraduate course in introductory calculus and introductory microeconomics. Admitted applicants who have not taken these courses, or who had earned a grade of less than C, can complete the requirements by taking MA 501 (Introduction to Mathematical Analysis) TM 500 or equivalent for no credit and/or Mgt 503 (Microeconomics) .
