Thus, there is a need for professional managers that have a strong blend of practical, real-world IT and management insight and know-how.
The MBA program in Information Management has been created and is highly successful in producing graduates who have learned to lead and manage their organization's efforts to sense and respond to the abundance of managerial challenges and opportunities associated with organizational IS. Students will take a number of general management courses as well as the courses required for the M.S. in Information Systems degree. Throughout the curriculum there will be a strong emphasis on building interpersonal communications, oral presentations, and leadership skills. The program prepares students for professionally rewarding careers or enhances their existing managerial expertise in such positions as IT manager, management consultant, entrepreneur, IT project manager, manager of systems integration, and manager of organizational outsourcing.
