The IT Outsourcing major provides a distinctive opportunity for students to acquire important, timely and competitive skills aimed at determining the need for outsourcing and managing outsourcing relationships on an on-going basis. The rise in popularity of corporations entering into IT outsourcing agreements has been well documented. As this trend grows, corporate America will need talented and informed information technologists who are knowledgeable in the best practices of IT outsourcing, and able to determine the need for outsourcing and manage outsourcing relationships on an on-going basis.  However since IT outsourcing is a trend worldwide, and off-shore outsourcing is taking place in many countries, this track will have value for all global programs. It will also be of great interest to consulting firms and service providers. We believe the IT Outsourcing certificate will deliver a competitive edge to students.
