IT in Pharmaceutical Industry

The integration of business and technology in both R & D and business applications is a primary concern of the pharmaceutical industry. The IT in Pharmaceutical Industry major answers the need for individuals with an understanding of both information technology and the pharmaceutical industry.

Students in Information Technology in the Pharmaceutical Industry major take a number of general management courses in addition to the courses required for an M.S. in Information Systems degree.

Prerequisites for this major include a semester of microeconomics (MGT 503 or equivalent) and a semester of introductory calculus. For people with little or no information systems professional experience, Mgt 501 Information Management is a prerequisite.
