Information Management Track

This program is an interdisciplinary combination of twelve courses, usually taken over a two year period on weeknights. It is designed to provide participants with the requisite management, business, technical, and strategic skills needed to help their organizations apply Information Technology (IT) more effectively and efficiently. This program is available on Saturday mornings for students sponsored by their company.

Although computer programming is not included in the curriculum, students must demonstrate that they have done programming. This requirement can be met by the students work experience or previous course work. Courses in C++ (CS 570) or Java (CS 765) can be taken to meet this requirement.

Business/Information Technology Foundation

In addition to the twelve required courses, one or all of the following non-credit foundation courses may be required to begin the program:

• MIS 501 Information Management
• MIS 502 Introduction to Accounting, Microeconomics, Statistics and Finance

• MGT 609 Introduction to Project Management

• MGT 689 Organizational Behavior and Design

Information Systems Core

• MIS 620 Analysis & Development of Information Systems
• MIS 630 Database Systems and Decision Support
• MIS 710 Process Innovation and Management
• MIS 730 Integrating IT Architecture
• MIS 750 Management of IT Resource
• MIS 760 IT Strategy

Information Management Career Track
