IT in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry

Coordinator: Carol Brown

This program is an interdisciplinary combination of twelve courses, usually taken over a two year period on weeknights. The typical audience is IT professionals who are currently employed in or have a desire to enter the pharmaceutical/biotech or related healthcare industries; employees of software and services companies that support the pharmaceutical/biotech industry; as well as non-IT professionals who wish to gain an in-depth understanding of the role of IT in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

Although computer programming is not included in the curriculum, students must demonstrate that they have done programming. This requirement can be met by the students work experience or previous course work. Courses in C++ (CS 570) or Java (CS 765) can be taken to meet this requirement.
