IT Outsourcing Management Track

Coordinator: Christine Bullen

This program is an interdisciplinary combination of twelve courses, usually taken over a two year period on weeknights. It is designed to provide participants with the requisite management, business, technical, and strategic skills needed to help their organizations apply Information Technology (IT) more effectively and efficiently. This program is available on Saturday mornings for students sponsored by their company.

Although computer programming is not included in the curriculum, students must demonstrate that they have done programming. This requirement can be met by the students work experience or previous course work. Courses in C++ (CS 570) or Java (CS 765) can be taken to meet this requirement.

Business/Information Technology Foundation
In addition to the twelve required courses, one or all of the following non-credit foundation courses may be required to begin the program:

"Relationship Management and IT Outsourcing (MIS 652) is the one course that I put immediately into action. Professor Saltzman gave us the tools to unblock our futures by helping each of us focus on what we want to achieve, and giving us the tools to get out of our own way. Good relationships in the workplace help pave the way to success. They do not happen by chance. This course helped us identify our key relationships and develop action plans to achieve our goals."
