Master’s of Science in Information SystemsThe MSIS program at Stevens is a unique, 12-course sequence of courses that balances the requisite management and technical expertise necessary for today’s dynamic business and technical environment. Increasingly, organizations need IS professionals who possess business and management capabilities alongside their specialist IT knowledge. For IT professionals, the focus is on helping employees with strong technical expertise to be in a position to work more effectively and efficiently with their business partners - managers who can sit across the table from business managers from an entirely different function of the business and “speak their language.”. For business people seeking to enhance their awareness of how to better leverage Information Technology in their firms, our MSIS degree helps them also gain relevant technical knowledge for them to be more effective managers, including managers accountable for IT resources.
