Masters, MBA and Graduate Certificate in Project Management Programs - Stevens Institute of Technology

Admissions Criteria

The Stevens Project Management program provides graduate education in project management. The program is modular and incremental enabling students to enhance their corporate career in paralell with pursuing their academic career.

Requirements
Admission to the Graduate Certificate in Project Management program requires:

  • a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • an undergraduate GPA of "B" or better
  • two letters of recommendation
  • at least 2 years work experience is also preferred


  • Graduation Requirement

    You must apply for and be accepted into the Graduate Certificate in Project Management program before the award of the certificate can be made. Certificates are awarded in December and May of each year.

    Company Reimbursement
    Some companies will pay for graduate courses only if they are part of a Masters degree program. Prospective students should apply for the Masters degree and take the Graduate Certificate in Project Management courses as the first four courses in their Masters degree program.

    Pre-requisites
    Required for the Masters of Science in Management degree only:

  • a semester of microeconomics (MGT 503 Microeconomics or equivalent)
  • Microeconomics must be taken before MGT 600 Managerial Accounting
  • a semester of Introductory Calculus which includes first level differentiation
  • Intro to Calculus must be taken before MGT 607 Managerial Economics
  • these prerequisites may be taken at a community college
  • students requiring these pre-requisites should include them in their Study Plan
  • approval by the Acadmic Advisor is required before taking a pre-requisite course


  • Standardized Test Scores
  • None required for part-time PM Graduate Certificate or Masters graduate students.
  • MBA students must submit a GMAT score.
  • Full-time graduate students applying for a fellowship
    or graduate assistantship must submit a GRE or GMAT score.
  • International students must submit a GRE or GMAT score
    and a TOEFL score with a minimum score of 213 computer or 550 paper.
