For 21st Century Project Managers

Project management in the 21st century is changing dramatically. In the last fifty years, traditional project management, project managers and teams have typically focused on efficiency of the project, operational performance, planning, meeting time and budget goals. Today’s dynamic business environment and global competition require new and better ways to make projects into powerful weapons. Projects are key to successfully achieving the organization’s corporate, business, marketing, and operational strategic goals. Projects lead the way to competitive advantage and increased value.

The Stevens Project Management program is designed to respond to these needs. Stevens Project Management courses establish the fundamental common concepts of traditional project management and then introduce the strategic approach to project management and the concept of project leadership. The signature of the Stevens program is Strategic Project Management . Stevens was one of the first to provide research and education in support of the achievement of better business results through projects.

The Stevens Project Management program provides education in project management at the graduate level and enables students to earn the Graduate Certificate in Project Management as the first four courses in their Masters or MBA degree program. Students can also prepare for the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI), as well as prepare for Project Management Professional (PMP) Re-Certification.
