The full-time faculty for the Service Management program are:
Michael Parfett, Director Service Management Program
Mr. Parfett has over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology business. He has held numerous senior management positions while at Computer Horizons, AT&T and Salomon Brothers as well as runing his own consulting business. For Computer Horizons Corp. he was President of Chimes, a wholly owned subsidiary in Human Capital Management, which he led from start-up to profitability. At AT&T, Mr. Parfett was the Consumer Services Ordering and Provisioning Vice President and Chief Architect of all internal operations systems. As President of his own consulting firm, Mr. Parfett specialized in business and technology transformation. His client base was in the financial services, telecommunications, and Big 5 consulting firms. Mr. Parfett was a Senior Operating Officer at Salomon Brothers.

| Dr. Michael zur Muehlen, Assistant Professor
Michael zur Muehlen joined Stevens as Assistant Professor in August, 2002. He has over ten years of experience in the field of process automation and workflow management, and has conducted various reengineering projects in the utility, financial services, industrial, and telecommunications sector both in Germany and the US. Michael directs the Center of Excellence in Business Process Innovation at the Howe School. An active contributor to standards in the BPM area, Michael is a life fellow of the Workflow Management Coalition and chairs the WfMC working group “Management and Audit”. He is a founding director of the AIS special interest group on process automation and management (SIGPAM). Michael holds a PhD and an MS in Information Systems from the University of Muenster, Germany.

| Dr. Paul Rohmeyer, Industry Assistant Professor
Paul Rohmeyer has over twenty years experience in Information Technology management, including eight years of consulting. He has provided IT architecture planning, risk management, information assurance and network security advisory services to premier organizations in the financial services, pharmaceutical and energy industries. Paul is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and in the U.S. National Security Agency Information Assurance Methodology (NSA IAM). Paul is a member of the Project Management Institute, FBI/Infragard, and Information Systems Audit and Control Association. Paul is a faculty member at Stevens Institute of Technology’s Howe School of Technology Management and has presented and published on IT risk management and business resiliency. He earned a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University, M.B.A. in Finance from St. Joseph’s University, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Information Management from Stevens Institute. His Ph.D., a comprehensive study of Information Security Management, was conferred in 2006. Paul’s current research areas include Information Security Management, IT Service Management, Business Resiliency, and Technology Ethics. |
