Gregory Kaple

While working as a Data Networking Account Executive for AT&T, I was interested in extending my technical as well as managerial knowledge to improve my value added consulting capabilities for clients I served. At the time, Stevens had a partnership with AT&T. I had recently moved to Hoboken and the convenience of attending Stevens with funding support from AT&T was too good to pass up. As I began doing the degree, I found that the balance of the educational experience and my work experience was greatly increasing my understanding and capacity to perform as a highly trained expert in the field. What started as a convenient method for increasing my experience has become a cornerstone to my personal professional business plan. The Stevens education has taught me the foundational technology skills need to establish credibility within the IT field and the management skills to take ideas to another level impressing my clients and my professional networks. During the summer, I decided to complete my master degree by doing a Thesis study. I plan on leveraging this research to begin speaking and presenting at professional conferences and increasing my professional credibility as I begin to embark on a new venture to start an IT consulting firm.

Josh Levine

As a Stevens undergraduate in the Business and Technology program, I had some available room in my schedule due to the AP classes I had taken in high school. I began looking through the course catalog, and discovered the Telecommunications Management program - its blend of technical and managerial courses seemed to be the perfect complement to both my interests and to my undergraduate curriculum. I arranged a meeting with the dean of the program, Dr. Curtis, who was very supportive. She provided a lot of great advice, both in determining which courses to take, and later in determining which of my job offers to accept after graduation (I ended up choosing Banking Technology at Goldman Sachs). I'm very glad that I was able to enroll in the Telecommunications Management program; I feel that it has not only provided me with valuable skills and knowledge, but also made me a much more competitive candidate when applying for jobs.
