Eleni Gousgounis joins Howe School Faculty

Eleni Gousgounis will be teaching in the MS Management Program.

 

Research interests include Asset Pricing, Behavioral Finance, Options, Emerging Markets, Risk Management.

Eleni Gousgounis has been teaching "Principles of Finance" at Baruch College for the past four years. She has taught the course to both the full time undergraduate program (2005- present) and the Honors (2008- present) undergraduate program. In addition, she has been teaching a graduate course in "Financial Management" at Howe School of Technology Management, Stevens Institute of Technology (Spring 2009).

She has, also, worked as a summer associate at Global Economic Research, Goldman Sachs (2007), where she participated in research projects on Foreign Exchange, Carry Trading and Current Accounts.

She is a Ph.D. candidate in Finance at Baruch College, City University of New York. She has earned her B.A. in Economics from Athens School of Economics and Business, Greece, followed by an M.B.A. in Finance from Baruch College. Her research interests include behavioral finance, risk management, derivatives, international finance and emerging markets. Her current research examines short sale constraints and implied risk neutral densities from options. Her dissertation is titled "Short – Sale Constraints and Dispersion of Opinion: Evidence from the Indian Equity Market".
