Prof. Nickerson wins Visionary Grant at Gordon Conference on Visualization in Science and Education, held in Oxford in July

The Co-PIs are Jane Nisselson, a freelance filmmaker, and Juliet Chou, a Ph.D. student at Teachers College Columbia with a graphic design background.
The Visionary Grant, which is being awarded in support of the proposal, entitled "Explaining Diagrams (a short film)" is in accordance with The Scripps Research Institute's Visualization in Science and Education Grant from NSF.
In all, 15 proposals were submitted at the end of the 2009 Gordon Research Conference, and the competition was keen. Congratulations!
