Kenneth Mizrach

Director, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) New Jersey Health Care System


Kenneth H. Mizrach, a 34-year Federal Government employee, was appointed to the position of Director of the VA New Jersey Health Care System in May 1996, with the challenge of combining the East Orange and Lyons VA facilities into an integrated health care system. Prior to this assignment, he was appointed to the position of Director of the VA Medical Center in East Orange, New Jersey, in May 1992. Mr. Mizrach received the Presidential Rank Award for Meritorious Achievement in 2007, 2002, and 1995; in 1997, he received the Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Achievement. Mr. Mizrach is an Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall University. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science at St. John's University, Queens, New York, and a Master's Degree in Public Health Administration from the Michigan School of Public Health in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He also received a Kennedy School of Government Certificate in 1997 after attending the Harvard Summer Program for Senior Executives. Mr. Mizrach is a native of Brooklyn, New York.
