Dr. Lex McCusker joined Stevens as Associate Dean for Administration in July of 2004 and was appointed Dean of the Howe School of Technology Management in April 2006, after he had assumed the role of acting Dean in June 2005. Before joining Stevens, Dr. McCusker was Vice President of Business Operations and Planning for AT&T Labs, where he led the Labs Professional Services Organizations and oversaw the management of the Labs business policies, processes and day-to-day operations. He also served as the general manager for AT&T Labs Natural Voices™ Text-to-Speech engine and customized voice products business. Before joining AT&T Labs in 1999, he was General Manager for Lucent Technologies Consumer Lease Services business. Prior to that, he was Customer Services Reengineering Director for Philips Consumer Communications, a joint venture formed by Lucent Technologies and Philips Electronics. Prior to his reengineering assignments, he served as Director of Quality Management for AT&T Consumer Products, for AT&T Microelectronics Interconnection Technologies business unit and for AT&T Corporate Human Resources. Dr. McCusker started his career at Bell Laboratories in 1980 as a Member of Technical Staff. He worked on several large software development projects as well as AT&T’s early Interactive Television Venture. He also served as a Technical Manager in the Bell Laboratories Quality Assurance Center. Dr. McCusker holds a Ph.D. (1979) in Experimental Psychology from University of Texas at Austin and an A.B. (1974) in Psychology from Dartmouth College. He is married to Susan Buchwald McCusker and has two daughters, Claire and Mallory. | | Professional Service |
