Dr. Ann Mooney is an Associate Professor of Management at the Wesley J. Howe School of Technology Management at Stevens Institute of Technology. She is an active member of the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society. She holds a MBA and Ph.D. from The University of Georgia in Strategic Management and is a Certified Public Accountant. Dr. Mooney conducts research in strategic decision making, and in particular on the dynamics and potential of top executives, boards of directors and high-tech project teams. Her work has been published in a number of prestigious outlets including the Academy of Management Review, the Academy of Management Executive, the Journal of Management Studies, the Journal of Conflict Management, and Strategic Organization. She has received numerous awards for her research, including Bright Idea awards from the state of NJ (2008 and 2006), a Best Paper Finalist for the Academy of Management Executive (2004), an Honorable Mention Best Paper Award from the Strategic Management Society (2002), a Best Paper Award from the Academy of Management (2001), and the Best Overall Paper Award (1998) and Best Paper (Strategy Division) Award (2000, 1998) from the Southern Management Association. Dr. Mooney was also awarded the Women’s International Science Collaboration Award from the American Association for the Advancement of Women in Science and the National Science Foundation, and the Comer Research Award from the University of Georgia. Dr. Mooney teaches in the area of Strategic Management and Organizational Behavior. She has taught in a variety of settings, including undergraduate, graduate and corporate. Her courses range from credit based coursework to professional development courses she customizes for specific firms. Dr. Mooney has been recognized for outstanding teaching, with the Harvey N. Davis award from Stevens Institute of Technology and Irwin Award for Teaching Excellence from the University of Georgia. Professor Mooney serves as a reviewer for the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Management, and the Academy of Management Executive, and has been a consultant to various firms including Price Waterhouse Coopers, Arthur Andersen, AT&T, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, and various mid and small-sized firms. |
