| Ira Sack is an Associate Professor of Management who has been teaching at Stevens for over 25 years. Prior to joining Stevens, he was an academic at various universities including Hofstra University and Canisius College and employed in diverse positions including: a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Telephone Laboratories (1966-1968) in systems modeling and software development (simulation and systems design and programming). His consulting experience includes research and development for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and Scientific Research Associates working in the area of the design and implementation of distributed view integrated databases. He has done technical editing for McGraw Hill, Prentice Hall, and been a curriculum consultant to several universities. He has authored numerous publications on organizational architecture and design, information systems, business foundations of e-commerce, intelligent agents, business and information modeling, and logic. His latest, coauthored text is the well-acclaimed book, Organization Modeling: Innovative Architectures for the 21st Century. He has given numerous papers at workshops and international workshops as well as universities on his own research in organizational architecture and design as well as business and information modeling and related areas. Among his academic accomplishments are having been one of the prime facilitators of the Ph.D. program in Information Management and the subsequent supervision of Ph.D. students in Information Management as principal advisor. |
