Roundtable Meeting Announcement

February 7, 2007, 1:30 - 4:30 PM (Lunch 12:30-1:30)

The first Howe School Alliance Roundtable meeting for 2007 will take place on Wednesday, February 7th from 1:30-4:30 PM, at ISO (
545 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City).  The topic will be:

                                 Creative Problem-Solving: Lessons and Guidelines

The objectives for the Roundtable are: 1) to crystallize lessons from our previous sessions on creative problem-solving; and 2) to generate concrete guidelines for enhancing creative thinking.

To accomplish these objectives, we will begin with brief status reports from the Alliance Partner "clients" whose problems served as vehicles for our study of problem-solving models during previous Roundtable meetings.  We will hear what did or did not work for them.  Following that review, we will do a side-by-side comparison and assessment of the four models we have studied.  Based on the lessons from previous sessions and our review, we will generate specific principles and rules-of-thumb to guide our future creative thinking.  It is not necessary to have attended the earlier meetings, but it would be useful for attendees to review the Takeaways from the July and September 2006 meetings prior to the session.

Directions to ISO are attached.
The meeting will begin at 1:30 PM.  A luncheon will be available from 12:30 PM, courtesy of ISO, which will afford the opportunity to network with other Alliance Partners.  Dress code for the Roundtable is business casual.  Please let Sharen Glennon (sharen.glennon@stevens.edu or 201-216-5381) know the names of attendees.

Thanks,
