1. OBJECTIVE Consortium for Corporate Entrepreneurship

The objective is to optimize the front end of innovation for platform and breakthrough projects.

We are focused on providing increased knowledge to senior management and key inventors in the company.

 

2. RESEARCH INITIATIVES

3. SURVEY METHODOLOGY AND BACKGROUND

  • In February 2007 we surveyed more than 240 business units from 140 companies including 3M, GE, P&G and Intel. We have over 600 individual responses.
  • The survey is developed by a world-class academic and industry team consisting of 17 companies and institutions.
  • This research is funded by the National Science Foundation and the Consortium for Corporate Entrepreneurship at Stevens Institute of Technology.
  • The research is supported by the Industrial Research Institute.
  • We followed the highest standards of survey research methods:
    • more than 1 year of survey development including more than 20 case studies and 5 pilots
    • multiple respondents per company to ensure reliable data
    • all conclusions are drawn from multiple questions
