The center encompasses four areas of activity. These are:
1. Educational Programs - A wide range of educational offerings including Certificate, Master's and Ph. D. programs that meet the need of students and organizations to understand how to apply technology management to promote and sustain economic growth in the developing and developed world. Professional development programs, workshops and seminars will be provided to meet specific needs. Concepts of Global Development will also be infused into undergraduate programs at Stevens.
2. Policy Conferences and Studies - Through collaboration with government agencies, established international affairs organizations and other academic partners from countries around the world, meetings conferences and joint studies will be undertaken to elucidate the issues of Technology Management for Global Development.
3. Action Oriented Projects and Field Initiatives - The Center will facilitate implementation of field projects in collaboration with other organizations in the United States, as well as through partnerships with institutions and organizations around the world. Relationships with on-the-ground projects will create opportunities for case studies and experiences that enrich the Center's educational programs and policy activities.
4.Research - Research will be a critical and integral component of Center activities and will enrich and enhance related Educational Programs and Policy Studies. The Action Oriented Projects and Field Initiatives will also provide opportunities for the pursuit of important research efforts.
